I hear this question a lot at our seminars:
“How do you stay so healthy, given how busy you are and how much you travel?”
Well, I have some secret potions that you can get from your natural grocer or Whole Foods that you should take everywhere you go. I do not leave home without them.
Some of these counteract the effects of radiation from flying. Some of these will stop the onset of a cold overnight, every time.
Datta and I also need to be able to find healthy meals to eat on the road, and that is not always easy. This week on Awaken TV, I share some of our secrets to staying healthy, especially at those times where we are most susceptible to getting a bug.
I am proud that I haven’t had a cold for over a year. I’ve felt the onset, but with these secret potions we have always on hand, the bugs have no chance!
Want to know what these secret potions are?
I’d love to hear what natural foods and vitamins you swear by. What keeps you healthy?
Post a comment below and let me know if you have any advice on what helps you fight the “nasties.”
I’m always open to hearing tips on staying healthy on the road.
If we don’t have our health, we don’t have anything.
Much love,
Great advice! I find getting enough Vitamin C every day keeps me sniffle-free. If one does come my way, I find that Oil of Oregano capsules will knock it out in a jiffy.
Thanks Elizabeth, I didn’t know about Oil of Oregano.
My tip for long plane trips is to get on the sleep/wake cycle of your destination as soon as possible. I remember on one trip from Malaysia that everyone else was on the sleep/wake cycle of Malaysia while I adjusted to San Francisco. When we landed at 8 p.m. they all were just waking up and I had been awake for about 12 hours. It was evening and I was ready for some sleep.
Great tips Rachael Jayne! My secret potion for excellent health is keeping my immune system in balance by taking bio-active protein isolate first thing every morning. Jx
I use flower essences wherever I am, and they are helping me change things in my life physically, emotionally and mentally. They are better than anything else I’ve ever used!!!
Lots of goodies that I use when I travel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rBt1hY18gbU
Thanks Rachael! I use a homeopathic remedy from the health food store called “No-Jetlag”. Works like a charm to have you feeling relaxed and not fried like one often does otherwise. <3
I find I need to excercise before I fly and after I land. Too much sitting down makes my body numb.
I don’t drink too much water because I find myself going to the plane’s bathroom a lot! 🙁
great video, great tips!
Thank you Rachael Jayne!
Sweet hair color! Its close to my natural shade, and Im needing to color now. What one is it?
Rachel, your a raw foodie aren’t you…with such sparkly eyes, you must be 🙂
Hi Jodie,
Not a raw foodie, but when I am on the road, my raw intake definitely goes up. Being off meat and dairy definitely helps the skin, eyes and hair. I love hot food too much.
Great tips, Rachael Jayne! Your Awaken TV is a highlight of my week. You offer such a breadth of powerful information, tips and advice. Thank you!
Oh, you are so sweet Barbara. Thanks for saying that. I like the variety, especially given we have our Business Program, Personal Growth Program, Speaker Program and Art of Feminine Presence. This is a way to bring them all together. Looking forward to seeing you again soon.
I use nut butters as dips, and leafy greens as wraps. I pack breakfasts ahead of time (organic dried fruit and a complementary nut or seed) for short trips, each breakfast in its own bag, and soak them the night before so the nutrients from the nuts are “sprouted” (highly bio-available).
I find somewhere with lots of trees to take breaks, and if I’m really lucky (like I was at your Calgary gathering in October), I find wild fruit. This is very high in anti-oxidants, straight off the tree, and hey, everything tastes better in fresh air!
I also pack along a miniature homeopathic first aid kit. The two remedies which get the most use are Ferrum Phos 200ch (when you know you’re fighting something, but don’t actually have any symptoms yet) and Unda 258 (when I get exposed to airborne toxins, to help the liver clear them out of my bloodstream).
Love this topic Rachael Jayne, Thank YOU!! My life has changed thru the use of essential oils (thieves especially on planes). My secret is creating a capsule a day, swallowing with alkalized water and then applying oils to my feet, belly button & arm caves:+). Why because all of it oxygenates/cleanses my cells! Which means when eating super good food my body can absorb more of the nutrients.. Heaven on Earth!! Love it when people say what are you wearing from the spa… everyday is a spa day:+) Huge hugs to you Rachael Jayne, You Rock!
Assolutamente d’accordo con lei. L’idea di un buon supporto.

I make up some capsules before I travel with a combination of essential oils – oregano, thyme, Thieves & frankincense. I also don’t eat junk on a plane – I bring fresh fruit and nuts with me for a snack, maybe a Kind bar and as Rachael Jayne says, I drink a ton of water (and sit on the aisle so I can get to the bathroom lol). I’m going to check into that Astaxanthin, thank you!
There’s definately a great deal to know about this topic.
I really like all the points you made.
