We are now Down Under!
It’s the first week of summer here in OZ, and we’re celebrating the sunny weather!
Many of you just hit the first week of winter, not that I’m trying to rub it in.
Today is our first day of Art of Feminine Presence here in Melbourne (the city where I was born and raised) and our team is very excited to be here.
In case you don’t know already, I love clothes, as well as the art of putting outfits together for these events. This week on Awaken TV I am sharing a great practice you can do easily in your backyard that will help you to discern the best colors for you to wear that will make you look most radiant, authentic, and attractive.
What you wear plays an important part as you increase your magnetic presence, and getting your colors right is an important step.
I’d love to hear any tips you have on how to choose the right colors, and what arises when you think about stepping up your game with what you wear.

Whether it’s summer or winter, treat yourself to finding some new colors for yourself this season. Don’t always revert to black.
Much love,
I love this discussion of color! And my mother would bless you!! I used to wear a lot of black and she always felt it didn’t do me justice. And you know what – she was right!
Your suggestion of using nature to find your colors is terrific. Here’s a trick I found to see if a color you’re unsure of is really good for you. Stand in front of a mirror in natural light. Hold up the garment under your chin and ask yourself whether your face looks more alive when it’s set off by this color. If it does, it’s a great color for you. If it doesn’t, it’s best not to wear it. This is really interesting to do with several garments of different colors. One after the other hold them up to your face and ask yourself if your face looks more alive now. When you go from color to color, it will become very apparent which colors are best for you.
This is a great idea! I’ll have to try it – sounds like fun 😉 Thank you for sharing Judith
Great information. Thank you.
I wore a lot of black as teen. Then I went to a therapist who helped me overcome confidence issues. Her advice was not to wear black, so I gave it a try and since then I have rarely worn black.
I’ve always been useless at finding colours that suit me. Recently though I’ve have had a few pieces created for me and told the dressmakers to choose the colour for me. It has worked really well, and they have chosen colours I may not have chosen myself, but that really do work. I am definitely inspired by their ideas for me.
Its always interesting to see yourself through other people’s eyes. Often they see things we don’t see! Its great you have brought in their opinions for the colors that work best with you! Now you can take what they have shared with you and what we talked about in the blog and work on doing it for yourself as well. Definitely a skill that needs practice 🙂 Thanks for sharing Samantha
Thanks for this video. It is a wonderful reminder to get in touch with the aspect of color. I used to have a gorgeous little mostly mustard dress with a little black that I loved and I haven’t worn that color in years now. I think I will go shopping now!
Yay! 🙂 Have fun shopping! 😉
For anyone interested in going deeper with this, I would check out Carol Tuttle’s Dressing Your Truth!
I was about to recommend the same thing. Changed my life (and my energy)!
Love this – you presented a wonderful, simple way for women to start aligning with their ‘natural’ colors. Being in your colors creates more vibrancy and youthful appearance, creates magnetic appeal (simply from the stand point of evolution…) and just makes us feel great!
I would love to encourage women who may not feel they have an inherent eye for color or the artistry of combining colors to reach out to a qualified Image or Color Specialist. I don’t personally feel that those who tell you “you can only wear these exact colors” are your best bet. That’s an old paradigm from decades ago that has been held onto. They are more current and empowering approaches now available. Instead, work with someone who’s willing to work with the ‘colors of you ‘as an individual. No two women’s palettes should ever be the same in my book. Once you get into the nuances, your colors are as unique as your fingerprint.
And I so agree… branch out from black. Express the inner and outer rainbow of you and ENJOY!
This is great insight! Thank you Kathleen. Absolutely agree that there is no “black and white” answer to what colors work best on each person 😉
I want to tell you that the green color you have is great on you, It a match with your eyes :). Hugs from Anna
Thank you Anna! Hugs! <3
