Today we head to the final segment of THE BEST TRIP of our lives.
Next stop – Japan. This country feels like our 3rd homeland (after the US and Aussie-land of course). I love feeling like a citizen of the world more than tied to one country.
In this week’s Awaken TV episode I will ask your opinion on why you believe this was the most amazing trip, out of all the amazing trips we’ve been blessed with over the last few years.
You might ask: Why would I spend time watching a short video about how awesome you feel Rachael Jayne about some awesome experience you went on?
I believe your opinion will tell YOU a lot about how you approach life, relationships, and challenges that are thrown at you.
Watch the video here and post a comment or question below.
If you are truly committed to your own awakening and want to experience creating a life that thrills you — or is at least easier than the one you are experiencing now, I urge you to ponder my point in this video this week.
The reason why I believe this was the best trip ever is the same reason I feel more empowered and unconditionally happy by the day.
I wish that experience for everyone.
Much love,
Hi Rachael,
I really enjoyed this post because it presents something I have already successfully tried – here is a story to add to your extensive repertoire. Some years ago, my husband and I arranged to chaperone some friends on a trip to Australia, to act as ‘native guides’ if you like. Part of this trip included a 3-day dive trip out to the Coral Sea, which was quite expensive. I remember saying to my husband well beforehand, “I’d like to make an agreement with you that, we had a great time, regardless of the weather, whether I got sea sick, or the visibility wasn’t great, I just want to have decided ahead of time that we had a great time.” Mercifully, he agreed to this request. Guess what – we had a great time, even though I was sea sick on the way back, it didn’t make it less of a great time.
We are about to embark on another Aussie adventure, driving up Cape York with some friends from Atherton, who are going to be our ‘native guides’. We have already decided that we “had a great time”, so all that remains, is to have it!
Very powerful stuff.
I totally agree! And I would also say that when you set your intention to have a totally wonderful experience and something unexpected and/or difficult happens, you are most likely to see and to use that unexpected or difficult thing as a challenge and opportunity to learn and grow, And although there may be pain and discomfort in that growth experience, going through it will ultimately bring you to a place where you can let more joy and love into your life.
I always say, “It’s an adventure,” when something unexpected happens. A lot of times, it makes for an amusing story to tell afterwards, too. 🙂
Hello Rachael,
You are so right, we choose to be happy, to have a great day, and to make a difference in the lives of others. I am thankful for the Awaken Your Stage presentations to blessed all us with at no charge. They gave me a lot to think about and I am very grateful.
Best wishes to you and Dadda,
Robin Strickland
Thank you Rachel Jayne – I am so grateful to get these messages about my life. As a first thought, I am getting ready for a trip that I have not particularly been looking forward to. I am grateful to have the opportunity to turn those thoughts around! I traveled with my husband for over a year and we, too, found that with very little stuff and opportunities for many things good and bad to happen, in the end, it was AMAZING!. But, on a deeper level, our 15 year old son has recently told us that he is a “trans”. My husband and I have been struggling so much over the past few months. This message – of choosing how I am going to go forward – is so appropriate. More resistance is absolutely NOT increasing joy for our family. Seeing this as a disaster or so very hard is not increasing joy. Feeling buffeted by the storm is not increasing happiness. So, thank you for this message. Choosing to know that it will all be OK, choosing to just love and support our kid, choosing happiness and joy – I believe will only make our lives better.
Food for thought. I know this way of thinking very well and am usually very conscious of my attitude when I’m doing things B U T….. Earlier this year I had a holiday with a friend I hadn’t seen for years and it was not good. I was taken by surprise that things went so wrong, because that just doesn’t happen in my life these days. I think maybe I was in denial of the reality of our relationship, not that I have to go back there and unpack it all, perhaps just acknowledging it will be enough. Thanks, not sure how much sense this makes to others but it’s helped me process this a bit more.
Hi Rachael Jane,
I understand completely what you are saying–intent is everything. The trick is remembering to do it! An even if things don’t always go smoothly, I find I’m more patient and tolerant when I do.
Hi Rachael
Yes definetly understand the concept of choice or choosing your outcome even without realising that’s what you chose until it actually happens.
I recently took part in an interview a position working with youth.
I was feeling nervous, had that nervousness on my mind it was mild but enough to distract me and keep me out of my centre. .
In my interview I actually verbalised I was nervous.
Realising straight away what I had done.
I obviously missed out on that position.
I have learnt from that experience.
realising that I already had set myself up to fail.
So thank you my next interview I will be coming from a different space, feeling and mind set.
Choosing an exceptional interview experience with a positive outcome.
One question how do you deal with ones fear ??
President Lincoln said that most folks are about as happy as they make up their minds to be. He is right. Attitude may not cover everything, but it affects so many things that it might as well be. My own experience has endorsed that idea time after time with few exceptions. Great video explaining this!
