I’d like your opinion on something.
What is your definition of Feminine Power?
When I started coaching women over 10 years ago, the conversation around the importance of the “feminine principle” was just beginning.
We have come far since then.
Unfortunately though, many women define “feminine power” in a way that I think will hurt us in the long run. I want to address it today and hear what you think.

I haven’t thought about my power as feminine but just my personal power. My belief is that the world looks at feminine as submissive, soft, not forceful, or expressive, fragile, manipulative, bends easily. That is what I saw around me as a child and didn’t enjoy associating with that.
Then I saw an aunt who was independent, lived life on her terms and was supported by family was part of the family and accepted. Seemed happier living the life she wanted, had her own home, friends, educated and empowered. She was determined, supported, powerful, expressive, part of the family yet an independent and powerful human being.
So I see feminine power if there is such a singular thing as living your life on your terms as a woman, going after what you want with determination, as if what else is there, with no blocks or beliefs that stops you. Just living your life without beliefs that would stop or limit you. Is there really such a thing as feminine power? Are we generalizing? There are men who are collaborative, leaders, softer, more communicative, yet also some women who are not? So I am not sure are we differentiating feminine power from masculine power?
For me feminine power means that I am able to be who I am and to say what I have to say.
That means that I express how I feel in a direct straightforward way. To anyone around me. With love.
What means for me sincere and with consiousness about myself and the other.
Live and speak my truth, with love and compassion.

You bring up great points Annette. I think in many cases there is no reason to distinguish between feminine power and masculine power. I think we all should embody yin and yang qualities of humanity. I do believe women have often a different perspective than men. The point of this video was to spark some curiosity about whether our belief about feminine power is really serving us. I have more questions than answers. I love being curious about this question. Thanks for sharing.
One of my strong beliefs has been that there is no difference; people are people. Society has placed rules around us, but I felt I ignored those rules. I’m sure that has defined who I am on many levels. Another belief that permeates seems to be that I must do my life ALONE. That does not mean I don’t glean information from others or even join with others, but the decision and action steps need to be made by me with few if any errors. That is the perfection piece that is heavy. I’m reading Powerful and Feminine now and am open to exploring how some beliefs have not served me. Thanks for this level of honest exploration.

So, okay, you want to know what I think is feminine. Well, okay, first of all, males and females are all ONE group of people, put on earth to get along with each other. Feminine to me, means being soft-skinned, but tough-minded. Women in general are very smart, these are your lawyers, doctors, teachers, coaches, mothers, daughters, counselors, etc…..etc….etc….. then there are those women who struggle daily just make ends meet. Of course, let’s not forget to give a round of thanks to those stay-at-home moms, who stay-at-home to take care of the house as well as the children. and then, there are women like me who are struggling with the reality of being a woman, while being trapped in a man’s body.
Feminine power is the power of the ocean and wind, of nature breathing in the trees, and lifting through our dreams. Feminine power is the touch of a hand on a brow, soothing, murmuring. Feminine power is choosing when and where to birth a child. Feminine power is choosing whether or not to bring a soul into the world through your womb at that moment in time. Feminine power is looking each other in the eyes and crying to share and comfort one another. Feminine power is creating your own story rather than bathing in regret.

The feminine to me is the creative force in all it’s facets – soft, tough, generative, destructive (not in the sense of abusive, but in the sense of tearing something apart so that something more true can come forth). It comes through me as intuition and actually directs thought and action. So, I feel the feminine energy in me directs the masculine energy, not the other way around. The feminine power might also be my ability and willingness to listen to and trust my intuition – my deepest knowing, rather than my ideas of what should be or what I should do.

Feminine Power to me will be my ability to shine my Feminine Light fully, as genuinely inspired from my womb-heart space, without having to hold anything back; to be, express and contribute in the world around me, as I deem best from that space.

Feminine power to me, is the willingness to connect with my authentic self, and the ability to connect with others and all living things, through my heart and soul. When I live in a spirit of connection with all that is, I see, hear, feel, and experience the needs of the greater whole. That’s empowering! Being in touch with the needs of the greater whole, reminds me the value and necessity of forming healthy relationships with self, others, and all that lives.
Yes! A woman in her authentic feminine power knows how important it is to look at herself as a whole being!
I think feminine power is the ability of the women to be aware to her femininity and capabilities as a woman.
To raise high-value humans , keep a good family with good relationships and contribute in the society to change the world and spread peace. In addition, stop being like a man because she will lose her feminity power.
