I freak myself out sometimes.
I fall frequently into the trap of thinking I shouldn’t feel so much fear, and have been known to be a bit of a worrier.
Then, I come back to my center and remember that fear is never completely going away. Ever. Not if we are growing. I just have to be a good manager of my fear so it doesn’t stop me from moving toward what I really want in my life.
Thankfully, over the years I have become competent at managing my fear so I can grow my impact, grow in my speaking, and grow in my courage to take calculated risks to increase income through our business. This is huge coming from the gal who took years to come up with the courage to quit her job after knowing it wasn’t right. When I was singing full time, it took me years to develop the courage to perform the music I really wanted to perform.
In today’s Awaken TV episode, the short practice I walk you through will help you move forward faster. It will help you deal with the part of you that is most scared and nurture it as you take your next leap of faith.
Watch it here. It’s quite a revealing clip from last year’s Awaken Your Impact event.
I’d love to hear from you. Which “part” of you is most afraid of moving forward in your life right now?
Are you committed to creating a stronger relationship with that part?
Post a comment or question below.
Much love,
P.S. Our Awaken Your Impact event coming up in September covers 5 key areas of training you must master if you are going to “own the stage,” stand out in your industry, master your fear, and double your sales over the next 12 months. Check out the training areas and some video clips from our event last year. We’d love to have you join us this year. http://AwakenYourImpact.com
Hi Rachael, you are more and more shining every day… I love and appreciate what you do, what you share with beauty, kindness and support…
Thank you, Nilgun. I appreciate your support.
your welcome my Dear Rachael… I love what you do…
Good stuff…you are too cute! Sending a big delicious hug.
And a hug right back to you, Patricia!
I’d so loved this when I saw this the first time in Colorado last year and I loved it just as much today. Integrating our soul parts and our full self is such gorgeous and glorious work and you were brilliant on stage with this work. I am so glad to see it on video!
I’m so glad you were able to join us last year, Laurel. Will you be there for the event in September?
Fear. Treachery. Mistrust.
Those are of myself. The inner self is holding all the cards. The higher self inches closer to embracing the freedom from all of those feelings and emotion. I am quite an “on” person, but accepting my leadership position requires my full attention and intuition. Intuition and acting on that intuitive push melts fear, treachery and mistrust.
This is great insight to yourself, Peg. Thanks for sharing!
dear Rachael it is so touching that you share with us such “intimate” parts of your journey ! thank you hugely ! and it is soooo helpful … i can feel the “scared” part of me, in me, and pulling me back, not wanting the farm to develop, wanting to stay quite at home with cats, etc… where as the other part feels “ready to go” !.. so what you show here will REALLY help me to handle my baby girl, and i will definitely ask her what she wants to feel secure what ever i do … she might say similar things to your girl, like staying at home with cats, or drawing pictures in a quite place … and you see, i had been aware of this since i practice yoga and meditation, BUT the big thing, is that YOU give the tool as to what to do with these part of us in LIVE !! on stage so to say ! .. i still hope to come next year and see you .. the farm continues slowly but with trust and lots of good news … om shanti with love ! isabelle
Isabelle, what good news about your farm and I’m so glad to hear how the video was helpful to you.
Hi Rachael,
I so love your videos. Thank you so much for the work you do!!!
You’re very much welcome, Diane.
Great timing with the video Rachael Jayne. As a big project is progressing, the tension and drama is rising, my 5 yo ‘Sweet Pea’ is running to hide! Yes I’m committed to creating a stronger relationship with that part of myself. Thank you.
Good on you, Jess, for realizing all of that about your inner girl.
Hi Rachel- I would have to say I am not so scared of being in front of people, but of developing the back office end of our business i.e.. developing the website, email lists and learning a lot of technical things that my inner voice tells me are a struggle and not fun going back to elementary school. Learning was a struggle. Even though I have a MA degree, I always have this voice about learning new things. Thanks for your video.
You’re very welcome, Nancy, and I hope you continue to learn and develop as a person and in business.
Than ks Rachael Jayne this clip is really beautiful. The young part and the fear is a big piece for me. Its reassuring to know that this never really goes away – ie that I am not crazy to still have this at 43! All these years down the track I am still watching you for this reason – because you keep it real! My book is a few days from final edit and I am teaching classes! There is progress! Love Libby x
What good news, Libby! You’re not crazy at all, but someone who learns and continues to grow.
Hi Rachael-My energy work is very different and not logical. Sharing it with a logical world and not knowing how it will be received, and self exposure are scary for me.
Hi Michael, thanks for sharing your fears around your work. Have you put into practice any of the tips from the video?
Haha, love the elevator ride! That’s the 5 year old part too, I hope! <3
Thanks, Nants. We all have that little girl (or guy) who springs up with fun from time to time. 🙂
dear Rachael Jayne,
You are so cool in this video…….that performer skill in you is being used to great effect, in the best kind of authentic manner! Of course its not a new concept for me, but it makes it so memorable, and such a great reminder to keep dialoguing with my shy invisible 5 year old. And my teenager – who decided she had to do everything on her own when it really mattered – like getting the new direction in my work out now!!
I missed you all too at the last NL AFP intensive……next year I hope to be back!
With lots of love,
Auntie Di
The Juicy Crone
Oh, thank you for the kind words, Diana! We missed you, too. Perhaps next year we will see your lovely shining face again.
That talk has stuck in my mind since I saw you do it Rachael. I love the elevator ride shots too! You guys are so much fun!
