I feel better than I’ve ever felt in my life—for several reasons.
I want to share something with you in more detail today, as it can radically affect your health, energy, level of peace, and radiance—all at the same time.
Fasting.
What does that bring up for you?
Do you automatically say, “I could never do that. I like food too much”?
Well, if this triple Taurean, gourmet cuisine loving woman can do it, you can too … and I believe you should.
Find out why you should seriously consider doing this.
Here are 8 reasons why I’ve been doing this particular type of intermittent fasting (after trying several methods that were too hard to keep up).
Both Datta and I have stayed with it for over 6 months and I don’t think we’ll ever go back. The benefits are far too great.
I’m going to be so bold as to say if you don’t want to do it for yourself, do it for your family and for the economy. If we all did this simple fasting routine, the dollars we’d save on health care would be astronomical.
I just found out my dad started a few weeks ago. If he can do it, so can you 😉
Much love,
Rachael Jayne
I started intermittent fasting in mid June. I feel great and my mind is clearer. I love this way of eating too!
I’ve also been intermittent fasting for the past 6 months and loving it! I dropped 18 pounds to start with and have kept it off with ease. I eat one meal a day at midday. I’m still very challenged by travel and eating dinner really does not agree with me, but as long as I get enough healthy fats, I’m satisfied. Way to go, RJ!
Thank you Rachel Jayne!
Appreciated the perspective you shared in this video. I’ve been practicing intermittent fasting – and evolving my nutrition significantly for the last 3 – 4 years! And love the brain changes I’ve experienced!
I started after reading Bulletproof Diet. And…. struggled to find resources that understood the female physiology. Recently discovered Leanne Vogel of https://www.healthfulpursuit.com/ and wanted to share based on what you covered here in your video.
Her books are fabulously written to explain physiology and ways to adapt eating patterns to individual female differences! She covers intermittent fasting in one of the best ways I’ve seen!
warm regards,
Karin
Thank you for this video! Just to clarify….you skip breakfast and go right to lunch, and then finish dinner by 8:00 or earlier correct? I usually eat salads for lunch with a protein so I am imagining I can do that, and then for dinner usually a small protein, with many veggies and perhaps a small potato or rice? Do you eat the carbs also? I am having blood sugar problems so I was wondering also if you ever fast for an entire day or such?? Think this is a wonderful idea…I get so sleepy after eating even when I eat super healthy.
Thank you, Rachael Jayne! I have been wanting to learn about intermittent fasting. I have been fasting a lot lately for many of the reasons you mentioned, but it will be nice to do it a new way that is not as painful. I can say, whenever I have fasted I turn into a mean, lean, machine with a ton of focus, clarity, and yes, spiritual experiences on a deeper level. Also, the time it saves for preparation, thinking about meals or the expense of shopping. Lastly, it helps with inflammation. I will be looking into the 16/8 intermittent fasting for sure. I have been hearing a lot about this type of fasting. Great and very useful post!
Yes, indeed, you do look gorgeous and I can totally get all the reasons EXCEPT weight!!! I don’t even weigh 100 lb. so my need is to GAIN weight! But when I was much younger and a student of a Jain Master, I fasted once a week for many months! And it was great! But it was all day! And I also took a day of silence, so fasting from speaking as well! Think about that one! Love you, Clare
Loved this, RJ! Thank YOU!!! Gonna explore it a bit. 🙂 xo, -Sarah DT
Yes, love intermittent fasting. I’ll have breakfast if I’m on holiday visiting with family because that’s traditionally our time to sit and chat and spend time together. But otherwise, I eat this way all the time and can highly, highly, recommend it. And it’s not even hard to do!
It’s also anti-aging and I have heard that the keytones repair your DNA, I’ve been doing it for 2.5 years, there’s no downside – it’s so good! I also have so much more energy.
Thank you Rachael Jayne, very inspiring <3
I have been getting many of the same results as well, Rachel Jayne. The biggie: weight loss, or rather (since I don’t have a scale I can’t really say) I have lost tummy. That’s what matters to me “weight-wise”. Postmenopause, 2 c-sections and a husband-cook who loves beans have really taken a toll on my tummy! I introduced intermittent fasting to our diet a couple months ago and one of the biggest changes I see is Howard’s overall temperament. He smiles all the time! Even though in our new dietary routine he’s also had to give up the beans he loves. 😉
Glad to get this bit longer perspective. I have heard from a couple sources that the 16 hours is fine for men but a little too long for women. Good to hear you are thriving on it.
