What is your relationship with the word PROBLEM?
When a problem arises, let’s say in your business, or in a relationship, where does your mind immediately go?
For most people it usually goes to thinking that somehow the problem means something bad is happening.
It’s not true.
I have trained myself over the last decade to become an excellent problem solver, quick to get to an inspired and sound solution. But I’ve not always been like that.
I turned myself into a fast problem solver out of frustration from attempting to grow our business. If you’re an entrepreneur, you know that building a business presents problems every day.
I was getting fed up with myself. I didn’t want to stay stuck in feeling sorry for myself when a problem arose. I didn’t want to continue perpetuating the belief that I must have done something wrong if a problem arose.
It’s just the nature of life. Growth is the nature of life. Problems create growth…if you are willing to meet the problem in a powerful way.
In this short episode of Awaken TV this week, I outline what the first step is to becoming a person who always meets a problem with the mindset of potential, which leads to a solution.
Watch it here. Then take on my coaching question in the video with light-hearted seriousness this week. It’s a game changer.
Let me know your thoughts below the video. I’d love to hear from you. As always, please share this with others who would benefit from not being stuck in the weeds and need to become a great leader, which means greater problem solver.
Much love,
Rachael Jayne
I agree with you Rachael Jayne. One of the things I learned over the last few years too is, just to attend to what needs attending… no matter what it is. There is always going to be things that need our attention in life and business. Just attend to it as it comes up.
Yes, what ever arises, be with it in the moment. Great observation.
Thank you very much. This is just what I read about in a book this morning – so it is great to have it confirmed now a bit later on. What a relief! Such a helpful way to grow in creating solutions.
Love Val
A small shift in perspective can go a long way! Thank you for sharing, Val.
This is great!
It’s interesting because I have been working on this concept but with pain or challenges which I guess in someway it’s a problem. I’ve become aware of the opportunity for growth and have been sharing this with people in my retreats to embrace the challenges and receive it as an opportunity.
Thank you so much!!!
Prema, you are so wise to be already sharing this with others.
Totally agree RJ this last 18 months has been one challenge after another. We have learnt to see each hurdle as another perspective to be seen. I have learnt to step back, breathe, look at the situation and be patient as the doorway becomes clear. Allowing my intuition to guide me. Patience has been an amazing word for us as we move forward with our purpose. Have a great weekend.
Hi Rachael Jayne,
I prefer to substitute “Problem” with “challenge”. I have many challenges every day as I own three businesses.
AND
I always strive to live in the solution.
I agree! For the past couple of decades I’ve promoted the theme of no problems: only challenges and opportunities to solve them! Always come with 3 recommendations on how to solve the challenge. It’s a great way to prevent the complainers from complaining: as they must have 3 solutions to recommend!
