What happens to you when you don’t hit your goals?
It’s actually a lot worse than you might think.
I used to set higher income goals than I do now, and I would often feel like a failure at the end of the year. Now I set my income goals, business goals, fitness goals and personal goals in a completely different way – and I’ve turned into a completely different person because of it.
Watch this week’s episode to learn how I set my goals in a radically different way to most people – in a way that literally fills me with personal power. Before, the way I was setting goals was literally leaking my personal power.
Most people are not setting goals and commitments the right way, so they beat themselves up more than they need to, or…people are setting goals that don’t inspire them.
Watch this to stop that cycle. It will save you a lot of heartache and feeling of defeat in the future.
Your practice this week is to revise an important business goal or an income goal, and try what I share in the video to see how it works for you.
I’d love to hear from you about whether this resonates with you, or if you have any questions. Post a comment below, and feel free to share any “a-ha” moments.
Much love,
P.S. A REMINDER that I am leading a FREE breakthrough training for spiritual women who don’t feel like they are great at marketing, but who want to earn more income empowering women – spiritually and energetically. The webinar training is next Tuesday March 10, and you can reserve your space here.
Hope to see you there!
Hi Rachel, I am constantly setting myself new goals, some I achieve and dismiss as expected of me, and some haunt me so I wake during the night, unable to resume sleep. However, I suspect my second goal set depends on others cooperating and I can never therefore reach my third goal.
How do I move to the stage where people want to join me in reaching my next goal please?
Ruth
Ruth, this is a point I also experienced since quite a while. It made me think a lot because before I did not experience this. The conclusion of my reflection is this:
About 4-5 years ago I made the serious decision (after the death of a dear friend), to search for the demons that are hiding deep inside me. And soon after this decision I started to encounter situations which brought me to the edge. Obviously without encountering these situations I would not be able to meet these demons. Being unprepared I had to learn to handle them etc.
Relating this to cooperative people I can say that in the time before the encounters with my demons I experienced very cooperative and supportive relationships privately and at work/business. However since I was busy with demon processing, this reflected out into my relationships and I didn’t get the cooperations I would need anymore.
Lately I have started to turn the steering wheel around and decided that it is now time to focus on new outlooks on my life. And I emotionalize this every day. Bit by bit, I am attracting new, refreshing and supportive people into my life. Now I am thanking the demons that they showed up and gave me the opportunity to learn. Since they now have fulfilled their purpose, I can let them go. And now I fully concentrate on my new shift, my whole body is full with it and I am experiencing exitement.
Thank you for this video, very interesting! I would love to hear some examples of what could be “must do goals”, “happy goals” and “ecstatic goals”?… Especially the first one…
E.g. I must set up a course or workshop – I have done that several times – but no or very few people sign up so that my goal of doing the course and getting a decent income doesn’t get realized and I get disappointed.
I get many ideas and I’m now acting on many of my ideas, but often I feel like I’m shooting in many directions to get more business and my energy gets dispersed… I’m not sure what I should focus on… (online or offline business, both?) Or I set something up and it doesn’t materialize. Now I’m reluctant to set up new courses or workshops again and do a lot of marketing because I’m afraid nobody will sign up…
Hi Barbara, on this page, scroll up and look at the right – click on ‘work with me’ and you’ll get to Rachael’s “Inspirational Leadership” material – I think that could answer your dilemma. With <3 and best wishes !
Hi Pilar, thanks, I went on that link but I can’t see “inspirational leadership” material that would answer my questions… Is that a specific video? Or blog post?
I’ve found it! 😉
Your advice re these 3 goals levels is so refreshing ! Thank You Rachael ! I feel a huge weight of my shoulders, and a bright light at the end of my tunnel, instead of just a tiny speck of sparkle !
I realize that I had been focusing on my ‘ecstatic’ goals for quite a while now (too long), and have really not gotten much closer to them, they remain just a dream. I can see now how applying your 3-level goal setting I will be doing what I need to achieve my ecstatic goal. Seeing these 3 levels clearly, I feel it has energized my 3rd chakra to achieve my ‘must do’ and my ‘happy’ goals; which will lead me to my ‘ecstatic’ one. I am implementing this now !
I’m so glad you found encouragement from the video, Pilar! Please let me know how it works for you.
Dear Rachael, I have a question above. 🙂
GREAT video Rachael… I love the way you’ve broken the goals into 3 sections. Particularly love what you’ve shared regarding…the loss of power from the 3rd chakra when we don’t reach a goal. And the encouragement to set those ‘must do goals’, the simple ones…as a way of increasing my personal power.
Strengthening the foundation that then the other goals stand on…with a stronger sense of power underneath them.
Your own presence and personal power is more radiant than ever.
Hugs Satina
Thank you so much, Satina. I’m glad to hear you found some encouragement in the video.
Love this Rachael Jayne! Exactly what I needed to hear today : ) Thank you!
You’re very welcome, Jacquie!
