Looking back at this week’s Awaken TV episode I judge myself for being so dramatic.
Why am I ‘jumping out of my skin’ given I’m talking about meditation?
Even though I teach a unique form of meditation especially designed for a woman’s body, and given I truly believe it’s NOT optional for those who want to awaken and become a more deliberate creator of their life, I’ve never been able to get myself to do it daily.
All that has changed for me— almost overnight. Now it’s one of my MOST favorite things, and I’m happy to say I’ve not missed a day in months. This change of routine is not coming from discipline.
If you know you need to meditate, and you want to meditate, but you are just not doing it, I urge you to watch this short video. I share what I am doing that is making me love it, and how you can do the same.

Is there a way to download this rather than an actual cd?
That would be good, I make my meditations downloadable as it’s easiest for folks now, it’s instant and no shipping etc…
Thank you Rachel Jayne. It is a pleasure to hear that I am doing it correctly!
I KNOW I NEED to meditate but have avoided it. I have tried and either I fall asleep or my mind constantly wanders even when I concentrate on my breathing or repeat a mantra then when I get to a point where it may happen the time is over LOL I am going to try this again. IT IS TIME. I think I will love the moving and being joyful and being filled with gratitude. I won’t know until I try. Thank you Rachel. THIS is perfect timing for me!!
Rachel,
Hi Rachel, I met you at Tom Bird’s and am so excited to be coming to your Colorado workshop in early April. (I’m the woman who wrote “Ageless…”, remember?) I facilitate a movement meditation called DANCEmandala. It’s a new practice, very special, developed just a few years ago in Chiang Mai by my Thai friend Areeradh K Tri-siddha, and it combines freedom of movement, joy, music and meditation. I would love to share it with you, and I know I will love your meditations, too. I know just what you mean about how you can’t wait to do them! Barbara
I’ve been doing the Feminine Presence Meditation daily. I prefer this meditation because the movement and music helps me enjoy the meditation more. The key for me in starting to meditate every day was finding the right guided, movement-based meditation.
The only time I struggle to get my meditation in is if my normal routine is interrupted- for example this morning I got up 1.5 hours early to get on a plane!
How long are the meditations?
So great to hear this Rachel Jayne! I’ve just come back to daily meditation after a few months off and i’m loving it. I’m pretty good at daily practices but i’d let lots of things drop for the sake of ‘no time’ and wanting to improve productivity! Well guess what?! It didn’t work and i’ve got sick and had to let go of more and more commitments. So i’m back on track and loving it. I’m now doing exercise, yoga and meditation before I sit at my desk no matter what time of day i’m starting.
I’m going to work with your ‘joy’ and gratitude suggestions and look forward to seeing what happens. <3
Love the video Rachael Jayne! Love the grounded approach of your mediation, that has taught me to finally land in my body and enjoy my sensuality. All without the “spiritual bypass”. I no longer pretend being the “good, calm person”, I actually EXPERIENCE the joy and sometimes also pain in each of my cells. If tears come up in meditation it’s always a relief and healing expereince for me, almost as if the tears make space for more and deeper joy. As C.G. Jung said: I don’t want to be ‘good’, I want to be ‘whole’.
Thank you so much Rachael Jane for this video! It sounds like music to my ears of meditation facilitator.
I looove meditation! Yes, it does take a certain level of skill to learn how to shift your focus but meditation itself does not have to be on emptiness and stillness all the time. Once you know how to ‘enter’ (and there are many doors that lead there) – you can get creative! To use meditation for exploration, asking for advice (your guides), connecting to the state of your choice (love, joy, expansion, grace), etc, etc. It is ART – dancing with energies.
Sometimes I use morning meditations to bless my day (my week, my year, my way) – sending loving and joyful energies into my day, FEELING the feedback, the resonance – delicious!
I also often chose the state of surrender and openness in meditation – allowing the Universe give me what IT desires for me (vs what I desire for myself) – and this is usually far exceeds anything I could’ve chosen.
Happy meditating 🙂
