Fantastic practice – and just about my attention span. Love your videos, Rachel Jayne!
I hesitate to write my comment – I feel like I must be really dense, like I missed something; I watched the video 3 times. I get the concept of focusing on choosing a thought, giving it a color and placing it in my womb-space. Then I think: now what? This colored dot is in my womb-space, what do I do now? My mind is telling me to choose a new, positive thought, give it a new color and put it in my mind and focus on the new color…. what have I missed?
Hi Tanya, this short meditation is so simple that it may be throwing you off a bit. Notice where your attention has been, put a color on it, put it in your womb space and let it rest there. Your attention is now on the womb space, which is a place of power, wisdom and inner knowing. This is more grounding and connective than your attention being on some worry, next project or other people, all generated by your mind and whirling around outside your body. So, this short practice is about coming back into the body, often, and feeling that deep connection to your energetic center or womb space. This connection will usually create more groundedness and relaxation and helps you to decide on the next best action step to take that is not reactive, but in alignment with your goals.
I hope this answers your question.
Hi, Rachael Jayne! Thank you for this video. What a lovely, simple, quieting practice. Focusing on the body is definitely conducive to peace & quiet. I’m regularly in touch with my body, but not in this form. I enjoy your videos & your presence! It is true- everything is temporary- and every moment is a choice. Maybe I’ll get the meditations at some point and try them out.
